Our first Rosa’s Thai in Cardiff spreads over two floors with a basement level perfect for private events and parties up to 40 guests. Situated in the heart of Cardiff and a short walk from key attractions like the Museum of Cardiff, Cardiff Castle, St John the Baptist Church, and the Principality Stadium, you’ll have plenty of time to grab comforting Thai stir-fry or curry ahead of a show, during a break from museum visits, or even a quick bite during your workday.
Our menu is filled with authentic Thai dishes and spices ranging from ‘Thai spicy’ like the famous Papaya Salad to completely mild (but still packed full of flavour like our Massaman Curry). If you’re meat-free, you’ll love our veggie and vegan menu, and there are gluten-free and halal options available too.
When you’re in the mood for a lighter meal that still packs a punch, you might like our Tom Yum Soup. With a warming hit of chilli, Thailand’s best-loved soup balances the sharpness of lime with sweet tomatoes, coconut milk, mushrooms, aromatic herbs, topped with our homemade roasted chilli oil. Try it with Asian mushrooms, Chicken or King Prawns for a satisfying and warming meal.
If you’re in the city or seeing a show at the nearby venue with your children, you’ll be glad to know we cater for their smaller appetites with a menu designed just for kids. They can customise their own meal with chicken satay skewers, crispy prawns or veggie spring rolls, and each meal comes with some fun activities to keep them entertained while you enjoy your meal.
Students, we got you too! Enjoy 15% off your total food bill from Monday to Thursday, just bring your valid student card and we’ll do the rest.
If you’re looking to host a private party in Cardiff, we’ve got you covered. Our private dining room on the basement floor can host up to 40 guests. We have a Party Menu that’s fit for a Thai-style feast starting from £25 per person – all dishes are served on a sharing platter so everyone gets to try a bit of everything. And if you’re looking for a space to host a Christmas party we also serve a festive feast menu in November-December every year.

We try our very best to accommodate walk-in diners but can get quite busy during the weekends, so we recommend making the reservation online ahead of time. And remember, if you’d rather stay at home when you try our made to order Thai food, you can drop by to pick up a meal or get it delivered straight to your door.

I took away some food from here it was really nice and the waiter that helped us was such a lovely person. However the portion sizes don’t seem worth for the price. Idk if it’s maybe because I didn’t dine in but it was £14 something for a small dish and needed to order a side separately for extra is a little bit disappointing. Maybe dine in portions are better. Despite that everything else was amazing. 🥰

We realised after paying the bill we didn’t get our prawn crackers and Sammie was more than happy to refund us and give us a pack of them to go with her apologies. Lovely place, glad we went. Sammie was very helpful, Chicken Tom Yum Soup was a tiny bit underwhelming if I’m being brutally honest. Overly acidic, dry chicken and loads of inedible pieces of lemon grass in the broth. Fish cakes were absolutely fantastic however!Still a good experience overall.
